2.5個月 橫跨全台14城鎮

這次為期2.5個月的健走杖接力環島活動，是由「台灣健走杖運動推廣協會（TPWA）」主辦，橫跨14個鄉鎮和城市，在不同地點舉辦，參與人數有超過600多人。這是一次漂亮及圓滿成功的愉快旅程，由於理事長黃淑鳳、總召兼直播客講容以及志工姜智兼、Daniel、Roger和Andy等充滿活力的團隊，這個規模宏大、充滿挑戰的活動，贏得了「零事故、零缺失」的“滿分”成績。在台灣3個月期間，參加的健走杖接力環島活動中，大家稱呼我為“美國隊長”，因為我參加了14站環島活動中的12站。

在台灣PD的生活從來不無聊：我幾乎每天都很忙碌，因為總是有人舉辦社交活動；只有當我身體疲憊不堪時我才會回家。PD社群持續舉辦大量社交活動，透過熱絡社群平台LINE全天候交流。除了環島健行之外，我還和其他病友一起打飛球、參加乒乓球錦標賽、唱卡拉OK，並把握所有機會參與雙杖健走的活動。很多活動都是在不同的城市舉辦，需要搭乘高鐵、巴士、捷運等,我都沒有缺席。

我要分享我的旅程和介紹我的一些台灣PD朋友，因為我很榮幸能認識他們：

陳廷國先生（患有PD 34年，接受「深腦刺激術（Deep Brain Stimulation，簡稱DBS）」療法已16年，創立了「台灣帕金森氏症病友權益促進會 (TPDA) 」，並說服台灣政府大幅降低深腦刺激術療法和其他手術的治療費用。儘管他的PD已經發展到現在經常需要使用電動代步車的程度，走路經常摔倒，但這並沒有阻止他繼續邁開步伐。起動較慢,後勁十足。他曾經攀登過觀音山（海拔2,012英尺）100多次；2022年，他連續62天徒步穿越台灣。他以身作則，堅持身體和精神鍛煉，以控制帕金森氏症的惡化。

歐人嘉先生（患有PD 14年）是TPDA 2024年的理事長。他擺動著身體，像一隻振翅的巨鳥，自信滿滿, 沒有恐懼，也沒有羞澀。儘管他現在主持會議時會結巴, 每個人都會聚精會神地聽他侃侃道來。他曾是一名小學教師和乒乓球教練，也曾是PD乒乓球錦標賽的冠軍。他目前的任務是簡化TPDA的組織和溝通管道，TPDA的營運預算為零，是由一群本身就是帕金森氏症患者的熱心志工維持運作地. 這種難以置信的操作模式已經有3年多。

除了傳奇人物的陳廷國和歐人嘉，還有樂觀進取的盈華（患有PD18年），在打飛球時，開心愉快在草地運動場上完美柔軟的摔倒和翻滾；文誌 （患有PD 9年），經常為困惑的帕友提供他的哲學觀點與睿智解方, 外加獨門的幽默, 並且不間斷地尋找同伴爬山、出國旅行；還有Joanna Tseng（患有PD2年），她深入研究帕金氏症的各種症狀，是一本關於帕金森症狀和治療方方面面的活百科全書。

因TPDA沒有帶薪員工和辦公空間, 很難想像如果協會的主要志工, 包括冠紓（患有PD 13年）,黃小瑩, 筑筠（患有PD 6年）、小劉（患有PD 9年），和雅雯等等‑ 正好出外回診看醫生或者因為用藥或治療需要,無法工作,組織的業務將如何推進?志工主要在線上工作，負責管理任務、資料庫應用、小組活動和新會員/病患諮詢。只要身體和精神允許，他們都能百分之百的,有效地完成每項任務。 其他帕金森氏症患者，例如劉鎰綸（患有PD 15年）不顧自己的身體不適，同時還參加一個致力於服務社會的慈善項目，那就是在台灣全省任何地方免費為老年人和低收入安裝廁所和浴室的扶手。小配件大福利,靠的是滿懷愛心

當然，還有非PD的人的幫助，值得一提的是年輕的楊益政教我們如何打飛球。

認識這些朋友和其他人讓我很開心。每個人都有自己的PD故事可以說。

我不知道這次經歷使我的健康狀況改善了多少，或者我的帕金森氏症進展速度減慢了多少。但我確信的一件事是，我的撲克臉消失了，我又恢復了微笑。所以我要從心底感謝你們所有人。確實，台灣最美的財富是人民。他們開創了對抗帕金森氏症的新社會模式，他們的努力值得全世界關注和支持。
