color=””]現[/fusion_dropcap]代人因為工作型態及活動量減少的關係，若非勞務工作者，很容易體重增加，最主要的因素在於「不動」，你可能馬上會說「我每天工作都站著」。根據「動」字面上的意思，為改變原來的位置或脫離靜止狀態，所以如果一直站著，就如同一棵大樹，在原處「不動」。或許你會說「我每天都會走路當成運動」，但是如果只是慢走，就不能算是運動，應該只能說是散步。所以「活動」一詞已經明顯的告訴大家，要活就要動，而且對於一個經常「動」的人來說，即使體重過重，對腳的傷害所造成的嚴重性較低。到底體重與腳部的疾病有甚麼關係呢？ . 《診間篇》 每天進入眼鏡小醫診間的患者形形色色，但是有一種患者，也就是體重過重者，即使眼鏡小醫第一眼就看出體重是造成患者腿部疾病的因素之一，也明知患者減重是改善的方法，但是和患者溝通時，卻不能說出「體重過重」、「減肥」、「太胖」這類的用語，因為在美國曾發生醫生對著病人說他體重過重需要減肥，而被認為是言語上歧視病人。因此眼鏡小醫在診間和一位扁平足的患者對話會是如此，眼鏡小醫告訴患者：「如果要治療你的扁平足問題，體重減輕的話，會有很多的好處。」這樣的溝通絕對比用負面的說法更能讓患者接受，也願意配合醫生的治療。如果體重是造成腿部疾病的重要因素，眼鏡小醫會告知患者在治療的幾種模式之下，體重減輕也是其中之一，或者告知患者減輕體重、增加肌肉的訓練、穿戴輔具、手術等不同的方式來治療，這樣的效果是最好的。如此一來，病人的心理不會受傷害，也願意接受醫師的建議進行治療。所以即使是足踝專科醫師，在診間上演的不僅僅是一幕華陀再世救人的畫面，更多的是醫師在病患的藥方裡面加開了隱形的愛與同理心的藥丸。 . 《保健篇》 就以扁平足的患者來說，通常是因為足部先天變形、外傷、發炎、神經麻痺、或是足部負擔壓力過大、過久而引起，百分之九十的患者是因為發育期間體重負荷引起縱足弓低下造成。由於扁平足改變了正常的走路姿勢，容易引起其他骨骼及關節毛病，有可能導致日後長期的腳痛及膝痛。所以控制體重對扁平足患者來說是非常需要的。如果是先天性的扁平足患者，在有效的控制體重下，將會使腳部不正、扁平的狀況得以改善，不致成為後天性扁平足，也不會讓足部發生退化的情況。至於體重的標準因每個人的身高、年齡、性別不同而必須採不同的標準，建議大家在看診時，可以和醫師溝通，以專業及信任的醫病關係，完成一個有效的治療過程。
