資訊充斥的年代，我們每天從網路、報紙、電視，甚至於親朋好友的口中聽到了許多資訊，但是這些資訊是否一定正確呢？而且科技的進步，許多舊有的資料不斷的被超越、改寫，逼得我們的腦袋、觀念也得不斷的更新，尤其是醫學保健的知識。例如「腳痛」這個問題，若是沒有意識到嚴重性，只是藉由舊觀念，甚至於錯誤的訊息來處理，輕則痛感的持續，嚴重的話，可能就不良於行了。另外醫病的溝通也是疾病能否正確獲得治療的關鍵之一。例如說「腳痛」，當病人向醫師描述這兩個字時，醫師必須將這兩個字拆解之後，再詢問病人說的「腳」是指哪個部位？大腿？小腿？膝蓋？腳趾頭？「痛」的描述更難了，因為每個人對痛的接受度不同，而且真的是「痛」嗎？還是「麻」？又或者是「酸」呢？因為這些用語都是人的感受，很難用儀器衡量及數據的呈現。所以當患者向醫師描述腳痛，醫師是繼續追根究底、細問病人？還是快速的回答病人「開刀」二字？病患的腳痛結果是不一樣的。 . 《診間篇》 在眼鏡小醫的診間有位遠從中央山脈另一邊來病人張小姐，開口就問：「醫生，我的腳痛泡腳有用嗎？我已經泡腳一段時間了。」眼鏡小醫根本不用回答這個問題，因為病人的就醫行為已經說明一切了。張小姐腳痛已經一段時間了，聽媽媽說腳痛可以泡腳，於是當個聽話的女兒，每天藉由泡腳想來解除腳痛的問題。但可想而之，張小姐得到的結果是……腳還是繼續痛。所以聽到張小姐的問題之後，眼鏡小醫反問：「你覺得有用嗎？」張小姐小聲的回答：「沒用。」眼鏡小醫表示，像張小姐這樣認為腳有問題泡腳就會好的病人不少，但事實上足部的疾病百百種，並非泡腳治萬病。在醫治族部疾病時，是要先透過明確的診斷，再決定如何治療？治療時會遇到什麼情況？這一連串的問診及溝通，才能讓病患獲得正確的健康資訊，並且信任醫師的醫療行為。但是通常病患都會很心急。「醫生，你可不可以簡單的告訴我，有沒有一種藥、一種手術就可以解決我腳的問題？」速成的時代，不僅飲食速時，連生病都想速時恢復，這似乎是現代人的生活樣貌。眼鏡小醫說這在足部治療的過程是很困難的，因為足部的結構很複雜，牽涉到許多動態的東西，是必須依賴動態的方式解決，例如肌肉訓練、穿鞋墊、開刀解決、姿勢矯正、運用儀器強化等等，這是一套複雜的治療過程，而且不是單一樣就可以解決足部的疾病。 . 《衛教篇》 眼鏡小醫在面對病患求診時，不僅進行醫療行為，更希望傳達正確的健康資訊。在眼鏡小醫的著作《自己的腳痛自己救》中寫到:「足部的治療可以有一個簡單的診斷，很難有一個簡單的答案。」也就是說足部的治療是無法速成的，無法如病患所願，打一針就可以讓足部的疾病痊癒。或許打針之後，還必須透過運動、改正姿勢等漸進方式恢復正常，這個過程需要一這段時間，更需要耐心和堅持。總結眼鏡小醫在這篇文章裡要給大家的兩個正確醫療觀念：
