盧森 Luzern也叫做琉森
1300多年前，盧森是盧森湖畔的一個小漁村，直到西元 750年左右，當地建立本篤會聖萊奧德伽爾 Saint Leodegar 修道院後，盧森 Luzern 才逐漸發展起來。
建造於13世紀，是歐洲最古老的有蓋木造橋樑，琉森的知名地標，最美的城鎮風光，從古代至今在盧森的地位居高不下。古時候是盧森用來抵當外兵重要的防禦屏障之一，到如今盧森必觀光的橋。
垂死的獅子被刻在一座非常大的花崗岩石上，無論是肌肉線條或是獅子表情、鬃毛、爪子，都沒有一絲一毫的馬乎。面前的兩面盾牌，一面是代表瑞士的十字徽，另一面則是代表法國皇室的鳶尾花，用來紀念著1792年法國大革命於巴黎協和廣場上戰死的700多位瑞士傭兵。
